"Don't be silly, Jonah. People can't fly." - Angel Gabby.
Overview[]
In a last act of inspired desperation, Jonah tries to contact Angel Gabby in the present.
Plot[]
Jonah describes his plan to see Gabby again. Determining that her sentience was dependent on the episodes being live broadcasts, he wants to stream an episode on a streaming platform to make her live again. He reveals several smaller vignettes of Gabby speaking to his child-self in light and supportive moments before adjusting a laptop screen and calling out to her alongside Francis to a livestream of Tape 1 via Twitch. To his shock, Gabby hesitates when she should've introduced herself and looks around. While initially concerned, Jonah introduces himself and asks if she remembers him. Gabby's expression becomes warm. She then breaks out and blushes out of the show's cheap puppet animation into a more fluid, hand-drawn medium and flies closer to the screen where she calls Jonah by name, states that it's wonderful to see him now grown, and holds a hand to the screen. Jonah raises his hand to meet it, having found his guardian angel again.
