"It works!" - Angel Cammy

Premise[]

After pulling them out of their game (literally), the group directly confronts Cammy for the first time.

Plot[]

A distraught and weary Cammy backs into the corner of the monitor as Gabby tries to offer her help. When Zaggy remarks how kids aren't always going to listen to them, Cammy admits that they knew why Segen abandoned them, but questions why Segen then chose to ask Jonah for his help, claiming that Jonah (and many others) did not treat Segen well. When Gabby defends Jonah, Cammy tells her that everyone had their own troubles, which was why they chose to help Segen in the first place. Zaggy points out how Cammy's stubborn focus in their role, repeatedly playing the villain for Segen to defeat, was what caused Segen to leave, and while Cammy remains adamant that their system works, Gabby questions whether Segen's really just wanted a friend. This prompts a question on Cammy's "Fran", and Cammy admits that they did not know when Francois left.

Despite Gabby's concern towards Cammy's well-being and Cammy claiming their game is "dead media", they refuse Gabby's help and continue to defend their actions, claiming that, by allowing Jonah to win, Jonah was able to feel better about his relationships with the other angel hares. This prompts Jonah to tell Cammy that, while they aren't obligated to take any additional help, they shouldn't be ignoring their own issues as well. Instead of helping others at the cost of their own well-being, Cammy should for once work on themself -- Cammy's own "quest".

Cammy ponders Jonah's proposal before nodding their head and returning to their game. Through his various personas, Cammy remarks how they never tried to work on themselves, but that they would spend as much time as needed in hopes that, one day, they could show themselves to be a good friend when they return, no longer driving others away. The game then shuts down but lingers on a dormant portrait of Cammy. Jonah calls Segen to finally make amends, and as the credits role, the two meet up in-person for the first time since their childhood.
