"Oh wait. I forgot. You read your videos" - Segen
Overview[]
An "old alibi" of Jonah requests him to take a look at a game after having a similar to experience to Jonah's experience with Angel Hare.
Plot[]
After introducing himself in-person, Segen switches to posting written messages on his message board in a similar format to Jonah's messages.
Segen introduces Hyrax in the Rocks, a game he first received as a kid and had been playing ever since, but now wants to get rid of. He shows clips from YouTuber VultureWare who did a playthrough of the game, and then compares the YouTuber's experience with his experience. Namely, Segen's copy was fully voice-acted and was seemingly sentient, as if it knew what Segen was feeling whenever he played the game. For example, the game's introduction was different every single time: while VultureWare's copy had the king request the player to simply save the princess from the jester, Segen's copy had the king request the player to go to the orchard first and face opponents in order to build confidence before facing the jester. Segen admits that he found the sentience cool at first, but has since grown tired of it, and showed several other examples of characters in the game giving him advice, as well as a character named "Jonah" maliciously calling out to him.
Having seen Jonah deal with something similar with Angel Hare, Segen requests Jonah to take a look at the game, as Segen believes it was getting worse. Segen wishes Jonah good luck, referring to himself as "your old alibi".
Jonah steps away from his laptop that played the video, showing monitors on both sides with the characters from Angel Hare and Wylde Hare. He pans down to show the package he received, which includes an old computer set and the game, which he takes out of the box. Recognizing the game, Angel Gabby calls out for Jonah to wait.
