Angel Hare is a show that first appeared in Season 1, and since then has served as one of the primary settings of the entire web series.

Overview[]

The Angel Hare TV show is the titular fictional Christian TV show of the web series. A seven-episode low-budget animation, the show features two characters, Angel Gabby and Francis, who live together in a colorful, vibrant forest. The series adopts a style similar to that of a 1990s/2000s children's animated educational program, where Gabby frequently has to correct Francis' behavior in a way that allow for lessons to be taught to the viewer. The series was originally created by Wreath of Life. However following controversy and lawsuits regarding their programming, the show's distribution rights were eventually given to Kieth Publishing. Both companies have since went defunct.

In the context of the web series, episodes revolving around Angel Hare feature old pop music as the background themes.

Versions[]

The tapes exist in two versions. The first is the 'VHS Copy', or the home release version published by Kieth Publishing found in the thrift store, copyrighted 1995. The home-video episodes, collected on one tape in a clamshell case, is described as the 'intended' version of the show as it was written. Therefore, on the surface this version serves its purpose as a forgotten animated program targeted towards kids.

The other version is the 'VCR Recordings', or taped versions of the original broadcast viewed by Jonah during his childhood in the 1980s when Wreath of Life was still behind production. This version featured sentient characters who can interact with the viewer, and currently remains the only recorded evidence of Gabby's activity during the original broadcast.

As the VHS Copy is effectively just the original show being redistributed by a different company, one could achieve the exact same effects as the original broadcast by just broadcasting the VHS copy on a streaming platform. In Jonah's case, he was able to re-establish connection with Gabby by streaming the VHS Copy on Twitch.

Characters[]

Locations[]

Gabby's House[]

A house in the clouds with a red door and weather vane, Gabby's house is shown to have a living room, bedroom, and closet in episode two. It's also where Gabby first appears out from behind in episode one, and the interior is shown in the thumbnail for episode seven.

Francis' House[]

A one-room hole in the ground with a half-window styled similarly to the one in Gabby's living room, Francis' house is the headquarters for the Letters with Gabby episodes. The only visible furniture is a front door, a chair, and a letter holder.

Apiary Tree[]

A tree with a bee hive in episode two that Francis appears to regularly acquire honey from, the apiary tree is one of the few other places that animals are shown in the forest other than the speaking characters, with the other only instance being the birds flying through the title screen.

The Stream[]

A temporary flood-water, the stream shows a dipping path that leads to Francis' house. On the other side of the dip is a white picket fence, though it is unclear if this is part of Francis' property, or a sign of other civilization in the woods.

The Stream[]

Not to be confused with said stream above. This is referring to the one that Angel Zaggy noticed after the stream ended. Which also stressed Angel Gabby in the final case tapes video.
